Today I read an article from Highsnobiety titled “Why Do Women’s Sneaker Options Suck so Much?” I too ask myself that on the daily; as well as other questions raised by the author such as: “how many women collectors can you name? How many women’s signature lines?” It’s a small number, but they’re definitely out there. While I agree that having to sometimes order sneakers in the smallest men’s size or the largest kids’ size isn’t exactly ideal, I couldn’t help but think that we are currently in the middle of a big change within the sneaker industry. Instead of complaining about the lack of selection of women’s sneakers, I wanted to shed some light on how much the market catering to female sneakerheads has actually grown.
Six years ago, news broke out about the first ever female Jordan collaboration. In 2010, Vashtie Kola announced that she reimagined the classic Air Jordan 2 with a new colorway- making her the first female to design a Jordan. Vashtie, as well as illustrator Sophia Chang, have also recently collaborated on collections with Puma, as it is one of the few mainstream athletic brands that really encourages female empowerment. In 2014, Puma named Rihanna the brand’s new women’s creative director and since then has released Creepers and Trainers for women in more than 10 colorways combined. Even on a smaller scale, we have Caroll Lynn, the current women’s footwear designer for Filling Pieces.
Again, these are only a few examples and it’s obviously not going to happen over night, but thankfully we have women like Vashtie and Caroll Lynn breaking into the boy’s club to provide us with a broader sneaker assortment that doesn’t include the dreaded sneaker wedge.
Our favorite party is back, this time at The Edition Hotel. It was Norma’s birthday this past week so what better time than to host Peachfuzz? The night started off cool and calm as Norma and her crew had dinner at the Market located inside the Edition Hotel. S/O to the Edition and Basement for hooking us up with their plethora of delicious goodies.
After we finished our dinner we made our way to Basement. Walking into Basement you could literally feel the sweat bullets forming because of how hot and packed it was (but what do you expect, it’s peachfuzz!) This edition of Peachfuzz was special not only because of Norma’s birthday but because we also had the glorious Mya perform. Mya rocked the club with all of her hit singles and definitely provided the nostalgic vibes of the early 2000’s.
Along with Mya we had other celebrities celebrate Norma’s birthday with us such as Trina (aka The Baddest Bitch) and Giancarlo Stanton.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to wish Norma a happy birthday, came and partied with her at Peachfuzz and anyone who showed love and support! This edition of Peachfuzz was definitely one for the books. See you next month!
So, I’m not big into merch but I made these cute shirts last minute to go on INCEPTION AT SEA and rep my set. So I had a few left over and decided to see if anyone wants to grab some! Paid to make these out of my own pocket so all purchases are very welcomed I think they are super cute and I’m kind of digging the whole “Live in the Moment” saying that I am trying to encourage others for.
IT’S NOW OR NEVER! I mean if not now, then when?
Shout out to the boys over at 8&9 Clothing plus Smitty for coming through with the clutch photos!
Enjoy! PURCHASE HERE!

This past weekend was one for the books in Miami. Rolling Loud set the stage for crazy performances and after parties that had the whole city lit non-stop. Rolling Loud brought artists including Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Future and many more to the city. And after the last performance of the weekend, Norma threw her weekly SUNDAZE party.
This one was special, this edition of SUNDAZE featured beer pong, free swishers, $4 dollar drinks and a new artist’s special performance! We had Original Fani, ASAP Bari, Reese, Robb Banks, and the whole 070 crew in the building. Big thanks to 070 Shake and crew for giving an amazing show for their first performance in the 305. The energy was high all night and at one point we may or may not have broken the stage.
Everyone also loved the special customized Sundaze cups as much as the drinks they put inside (well almost as much). Between the DJ sets, performances and the amazing Sundaze crowd, we were able to put the proper exclamation point on Rolling Loud!
If you missed out on this edition of 1AM Vibes, you missed out on an epic night. Norma and Julz successfully turned Wynwood life from an everyday festival to an unforgettable rager. Thank you to the peeps at the festival that accommodated us on such short notice!
DJ Laz started the vibes off with his flare mix of hip-hop/latin sounds. Unfortunately, we did encounter some technical difficulties and some of our DJs could not perform their set. Luckily for us, DJ Jun-iLL (Norma’s partner-in-crime; hashtag Team Now) came in clutch with the vibes for the rest of the night. Also, we had Miami’s very own Zoey Dollaz surprise us with his guest appearance.
By the end of the night, Norma was piping it up with crowd and Julz was crowd surfing. Norma’s signature #NOWORNEVER towels were being thrown to the partiers who loved them! All in all it was a good night and we took Wynwood Life out with a bang. We even saw a heartfelt moment between Norma and Julz at the end! So for those who don’t know, Drake dropped two new bangers on iTunes today officially bringing us one step closer to Views from the 6. It is no secret that we are all anxiously awaiting on this arrival. Earlier, drake showcased his dancehall vibes with his song Controlla ft. Popcaan and today he continued those vibes with One Dance ft. WizKid & Kyla available on iTunes. Not to mention he brought in The Throne (Ye & Jay) for a feature on Popstyle.
Views from the 6 is rumored to come out sometime this month. Judging by early tracks this album is going to continue to show Drake’s versatility. Also, just like the #TeamNOW crew Drake is sure to dominate All Summer ’16.
So, whats better than last minute spontaneous adventures? Not a lot in my book, I’m horrible when it comes to managing my time so when TapToBook came to Miami and offered last minute appointments for tons of crazy services I was super excited to give it a try.
I had been waiting for the right moment to set aside some time to enjoy myself and do something to pamper myself. Whats crazy is this easy-to-use app offered same day booking for tons of activities ranging from jet skiing and bike rides to manicures and waxes. With me, I’m always running around, so I’m always unsure of when I’ll have a second to myself to do something relaxing. So to have the power to make same day reservations for dozens of services was super exciting. SO! When I had some free time I found something on the app that I had been dying to do for months. Eyelash extensions!
I’m super low maintenance - so I rarely do anything too girly that takes effort, lol for real. I’ve been meaning to get a facial lately and my nails are horrific – but with my horrible case of NO EYELASHES – it thought it might be a good idea to add some Kylie Jenner to my eyelashes.
I was in the Brickell area after running some errands and saw that RIK RAK had some appointments available that same day. I opened the app, selected my appointment time, and VOILA! – that was it! Easy enough, huh?
I arrived to the salon which was something I’ve never seen before – a all-in-one alone/cafe/boutique/make-up store! Wow, okay! So I sat down, waited for my eyelash specialist while munching on a Chicken Curry Slider – and then Tay arrived to make me all glamorous!
It was painless and lasted about an hour but I didn’t even notice the time fly because Tay and me had such great chemistry and by the time I knew it – I was looking like Kylie Jenner in no time.
I’m super happy with my lashes and most importantly, it was all super easy with the Tap To Book app! If your always on the run like me, I 100% recommend you trying out the app for on the go last minute ideas for those perfect Sundays we get in Miami where you know there’s something you could be doing but need some great recommendations.

So, I planned a trip with all my closest friends to Orlando, Florida for the yearly Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios (so overdue!) and I needed a car. I put all my contacts together and thought, how can I get a free whip to the O? Oh well, there is an upside to this whole “social media” thing. Luckily my friends over at Team Epiphany were able to put me in contact with Chevrolet and the rest was magic! A car service company arrived in the morning before we departed on the 4 hour (or 3 depending on who’s driving haha) trip to Orlando. Immediately I was intimidated by how big this thing was! Little me in this huge car!? But we did it, and boy was the car ride an interesting one to say the least. Put 8 BIG personalities in a big car and you’ve got a family vacation car ride to remember. I saw it had a DVD player so I grabbed my favorite movies Pineapple Express and Knocked Up from my house and that kept everyone quiet for a while but man, was this car like a dream! It came filled with gas and when we got to Orlando it was just about half full still! The touch screen in the middle console was BOMB, with satellite radio available, and GPS it was just too easy to keep me busy and play around with for a hour on the road.
The ride was super sooth especially for a road trip, it felt like we were on a couch on wheels. It has tons of crazy features I’ve never even seen before like it alerts you via a small shake on your butt when another car gets too close or if your about to skim a wall. It also has wireless charging pad for your cellphone which is AWESOME (new technology rules)! It has two screens in the back so everyone watching the DVD can see per row plus wireless headphones. It had a power outlet charger so my friends were working on their computers while charging up and USB plugs too! Oh man, it also had separate A/C controls for passenger side, driver side, and the back rows?! I mean, I’ve been driving a 2003 Ford Focus so this thing was like new technology to me haha.
The sound was amazing because it was a BOSE sound system, of course. As we rode back we heard the whole The Carter II and Urban Legend albums and that thang was BUMPIN’.
Honestly, I didn’t want to give it back! But all good things eventually come to an end. But not before I took a few pictures to remember the good times!
Definitely super impressed by Chevrolet and now they’ve got me wanting to buy an Impala. Not even joking. Definitely would recommend renting one of these bad boys if your going on a road trip or have a big family, it’s perfect!
BIG thanks to Team Epiphany and Chevy for the ride!
Gucci Mane is the definition of hustle. Incarceration hasn’t seemed to phase Gucci one bit. In fact, Gucci is probably doing better behind bars now than when he was free. Not only has he released multiple mixtapes, but Gucci has also released many albums that are worth purchasing. A recent example is the trio of albums he released last March. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner features artists such as Makonnen, Trinidad James, and the ever so funny Andy Milonakis. To show Guwop my appreciation, I have curated Snack, a playlist on Spotify of the best tracks (okay, my favorites) from those albums. SOOOOOOOOOO, free Gucci- or don’t, we’re still getting bangers either way.
UPDATE: Since I last worked on this, Gucci has released yet another fucking mixtape: Trapology
